DH and I have agreed that this coming autumn/winter we would like to work our way through some classic films (e.g., Singing In the Rain, Holiday in Rome, etc!).

Can you help with our list?

Singing in the Rain - love Gene Nelly of course but it's Lina Lamont that makes that film - 'oh Pierre, you shouldn't have come'

Ooh the wonderful Danny Kaye version of Hans Christian Anderson is on the 5Select channel right now!!

Haven't seen that in years - stunning dance sequences!

I was going to say The Ladykillers as well, the one with Alex Guinness and Peter Sellers.
I watched Casablanca for the first time all the way through recently, it is such a brilliant film although some dark themes, there is a some wit in it too.

I love the old 40s and 50s musicals, so many like Singing in the Rain. Also love West Side Story, Oliver.

Watched The Graduate the other night, a classic although adult themes if kids about.
Dr Zhivago is another one. Also love the period dramas like Sense and Sensibility.
