OP posts:
guiltynetter · 07/08/2021 18:20

Definitely!

PaddleBoardingMomma · 07/08/2021 18:20

I watched it at a similar age!

EnglishGirlApproximately · 07/08/2021 18:21

Most definitely have you seen it?

guiltynetter · 07/08/2021 18:21

I watched it at 14 and was absolutely terrified. I still won't watch it again now. I'm not a fan of horrors though...

gamerchick · 07/08/2021 18:21

Probably a smite too young but you know your bairn.

Jackiebrambles · 07/08/2021 18:21

Well I couldn’t sleep after watching it at 19 so…..

vodkaredbullgirl · 07/08/2021 18:22

Yes

Wond3rment · 07/08/2021 18:22

Definitely

FionnulaTheCooler · 07/08/2021 18:22

Personally I thought it was shite and not scary at all but I know people who did think it was, so maybe not if you don't want to risk nightmares. Mind you, I watched a Nightmare on Elm Street at a sleepover at about that age and it doesn't seem to have left any lasting scars.

Jellyfishnchips · 07/08/2021 18:23

Definitely, I would avoid. Had horrible nightmares as a child due to certain grown up films/ thrillers my parents allowed us to watch, pls don’t scare DC

Nobloat21 · 07/08/2021 18:24

Omg. Watched it early 20s. Absolutely terrified.

kowari · 07/08/2021 18:24

Yes. It's a 15 and my 15 year old wouldn't want to watch it. He's been watching 12 films since he was 8.

sociallydistained · 07/08/2021 18:26

I’m bloody terrified of this film!! It is fantastic but terrifying! Depends if your child wants to be scared and is used to horrors I suppose.

Chibbles · 07/08/2021 18:28

I'm 37 and it still scares the shit out of me.

Viviennemary · 07/08/2021 18:29

Yes. Its meant to be terrifying. I've not watched it. Too scarey. It will give her nightmares for years.

Trinacham · 07/08/2021 18:32

The film came out when I was 9/10 and I'm pretty sure I first watched it early teens, maybe 13. It did scare me, but I enjoyed it. The same as I feel about horrors now. I love the thrill

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 07/08/2021 18:34

I watched it as an adult and had to sleep with the lights of for a week, I'm hard as nails usually and don't scare easily but it was awful!!

SquirryTheSquirrel · 07/08/2021 18:36

It bored me rigid, so I would say no.

SirSamuelVimes · 07/08/2021 18:38

It's fucking terrifying, are you out of your mind?

Either they will be too young to follow what's going on and just be bored, or they will be scared shitless.

What kind of parent let's their 11year old watch 18 rated horror films? What's wrong with you?

Prettybubblesintheair · 07/08/2021 18:40

Fucking hell YES! Are you drunk?!

SpindleWhorl · 07/08/2021 18:41

@PaddleBoardingMomma

I watched it at a similar age!
And?
Frazzledd · 07/08/2021 18:41

@FionnulaTheCooler

Nightmare on Elm Street during sleepover too at the same age... I don't think I slept for a week! And even then I was scared too case old scrapey fingers got me!😱

11 is too young for the Blair witch, its not gorey, or even really horror, just psychologically creepy, which I've always found more frightening than the blatant blood fest stuff...it festers

Suzi888 · 07/08/2021 18:41

Nothing happens?! But it’s the fear of what may happenGrin.
It may scare them, may not. I thought it was a pile of rubbish!

HavelockVetinari · 07/08/2021 18:41

WTF? It's a 15! Do not let a tween watch it! Maybe 13-14 if they're not easily scared, but honestly that film is pretty scary, I'd personally leave it till 15.

PandoraP · 07/08/2021 18:42

I am easily scared but thought Blair Witch was as scary as the Tellytubbies
