Recommend me a genuinely heartwarming film

I watched People, Places, Things recently - a really lovely rom-com with Jermaine Clement. It made me realise that I haven’t watched another really heartwarming, funny film for ages.

Any recommendations of anything similar?

I see Eurovision was already mentioned.

I also have a real soft spot for the live action remake of Cinderella.

Came in to say About Time - but someone got there first!

It's a wonderful film with the most beautiful soundtrack too

The absolute ultimate heartwarming movie is Pollyanna. I watch it once in a blue moon but it always has the "Pollyanna affect"

Its currently on Disney, if you subscribe to that channel. Its an older movie so shouldn't be too hard to locate elsewhere.

The family stone has been recommended by a previous poster, I do not recommend watching it. It is not heartwarming to me and left me feel really sad and empty.

I second Mr Holland’s Opus. Love it so much. Also a Streetcat named Bob if you like cats!

@ColonelNobbyNobbs I am an irish immigrant in the UK. I cried for a week after watching Brooklyn. I couldnt even talk about it.

I also second About Time. Gorgeous movie. We walked down the aisle as husband and wife to the version of "How Long Will I Love You" from that movie.

The Hundred Foot Journey - Helen Mirren is magnificent in it.

That is some movie! I need to watch it again.
