I highly recommend it for a non-stop thriller. The cast are all superb, the action flits from Moscow to Paris, London, Madrid, Tangiers and finally New York, and you ultimately get to know a bit more about who Bourne is.

As the third in the series, it stands up excellently and is as strong, if not even stronger than Identity and Supremacy.

I'd be interested to hear what everyone else thinks of it.

i haven't seen the first 2. Would this film make sense by itself?

collision · 18/08/2007 23:04

I think you would need to see 1 and 2 so that 3 makes sense.

the first two are brilliant and DH and I are going to go when we can find a babysitter!!

Davros · 20/08/2007 08:49

LOVED IT!!!

Loved this! An action film with a proper storyline. My and dh really enjoyed it.
Do think you need to watch first two films though.

chestnutty · 22/08/2007 13:54

Thanks Collison and Ellasmum1.
Thanks to ITV2 have had a catch up of one (monday night) and 2 (tues night).
Turns out I had already seen one!
Going to see 3 on monday.

Sidge · 23/08/2007 21:42

Saw it last night - it's BRILLIANT!!

Very exciting and intelligent.

Bellie · 23/08/2007 21:46

It is fantastic - sat completely glued to the screen and had no idea that nearly 2 hours had passed!

GreatGooglyMoogly · 23/08/2007 21:48

I agree it is a great movie but I thought we needed to find out how he got amnesia/ what happened on that last job, etc. Maybe there will be another one?

chonky · 23/08/2007 21:49

Oh god, Matt Damon

I thought it was the best of the three. Having said that I took my s-in-law and she followed it no problem having not seen the first two. God - Matt Damon is a proper man, he can cut my hair anyday, all the cast were fab too, great that the woman - Joan Allens character, outwitted her male counterparts. Don't think there will be any more - the books have all been adapted now and Bourne knows who he is etc.

chestnutty · 01/09/2007 08:15

Greatgooglymoogly - I assume he got amnesia after being shot twice at the start of the first film. He must have banged he head in the water.
Multitasker - who wrote the books?

multitasker · 01/09/2007 12:38

Robert Ludlum(sp?). I think he must have had a background in intelligence.

cornsilk · 08/09/2007 23:21

Went to see it tonight - it is BRILLIANT!!!
I loved 1 and 2 but this is even better. Really exciting. I'm not a massive Matt Damon fan but as Jason Bourne he is hot!

ScottishMummy · 08/09/2007 23:27

o good to hear might buy it then loved 1 and 2

RubberDuck · 08/09/2007 23:30

I loved 1 but was terribly disappointed by 2 (as by that point I'd read the books and it pretty much ignored the plot of those). Anyone read the books cared to comment on whether 3 made up for that?

RubberDuck · 08/09/2007 23:30

(very much agree that Matt Damon as Jason Bourne is phwoar!)

Bibis · 08/09/2007 23:31

Saw it this weekend, as far as I can recall, the ending in the book was very different so I was slightly disappointed by it.

Certainly action packed though

cornsilk · 09/09/2007 01:49

Did not read the book but loved the film - I am a big fan of the films. Scottish mummy - see it now!!!It's brilliant - don't wait for the dvd!God I wish Jason Bourne would whisk me off in a car chase.

suzywong · 09/09/2007 01:51

good movie, althought the handheld camera work was a tad annoying. And Albert Finney is a big wobbly jowled ham.

agree about the big strong hands of MD though, even if he does have a Funny Nose.

cornsilk · 09/09/2007 01:55

OMG was that Albert Finney!
Yes MD is just hot, hot, hot in that film. Love the bit where he swoops in and saves the girly.

kokeshi · 09/09/2007 01:58

Fantastic film, was really pleased our cinema subtitled it.

cornsilk · 09/09/2007 01:59

Do you think he must have had a thing with the girl (can't remember her name) in the past?

GreatGooglyMoogly · 09/09/2007 02:51

Oh, thanks chestnutty! I saw the first one so long ago I can't remember it very well - must rent it again to refresh my memory
