I have to say, I wish I'd never watched The Shining (at a sleepover when I was 14). It scared the pants off me!

Anyone else?

Second nod for The Mist Confused

Middleoftheroad · 28/08/2016 08:35

I know it's been out for years, but I finally saw the Angelina Jolie film, Changeling, this week. I can't get the story off my mind, as it's based on a true story, which is heartbreaking.

Oh, for completely different reasons, bloody Danny Collins (the recent Al.Pacino film). I won't get those 2 hes back!

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 28/08/2016 08:40

I was wondering if anyone would come in here and say A Serbian Film - haven't seen it either but by the descriptions I've read in MN I never will.

TWOBANANAS · 28/08/2016 08:41

Inside Out is one for me. Hated it.

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 28/08/2016 08:41

Oh god, yes, The Mist - still think about the ending to this day

CodeBreaker16 · 28/08/2016 08:45

Another vote for the Mist, I think I was quite enjoying it until the end, it depressed me so much! Just thought the ending was so mean.

IncidentalAnarchist · 28/08/2016 08:48

Another Eden Lake here Sad

EllaHen · 28/08/2016 08:51

Haven't seen The Mist but The Fog terrified the 12 year old me for ages. If I wasn't asleep by midnight, I had to stay awake until 1am so that I could have my wits about me (the hour when ghosts attacked humans).

gonetoseeamanaboutadog · 28/08/2016 08:54

Dune

Helloooooooo · 28/08/2016 08:55

Silence of the Lambs - really disturbing, hated it at the time and would never watch it again, saw it at the cinema so couldn't escape
Mamma Mia - the only film I have seen in the cinema where I wanted to walk out

Mumble29 · 28/08/2016 08:55

A Serbian Film....just nope on so many levels.
Most disappointing film I've ever seen and wish I hadn't bothered was Prometheus. Utter crap.

Crazypetlady · 28/08/2016 09:02

I recently started watching a film caled ouija on netflix the opening ten minutes were so upsetting I had to turn it off.

BigDamnNCFail · 28/08/2016 09:04

The Blair Witch Project

You can't build suspense in a film if the characters are so fucking annoying the audience doesn't care if they live or die.

Lost in Translation

Boring, pretentious rubbish.

The Godfather

I don't care if it's a classic. By today's standards it's pretty boring and mediocre. And soooooooo long.

KittyKrap · 28/08/2016 09:04

I do love a horror, but we watched Dead Birds the other night. It was ok but way too many jump scares. Poor little heart was racing.

And Mama Mia has to be up there for the worst film ever.

Middleoftheroad · 28/08/2016 09:09

I like horrors, but Wolf Creek disturbed me..That said, just started watching the new TV series of it....

The Grudge also kept me awake....

AMR123456 · 28/08/2016 09:09

The Martian!! How boring!! It looked good from the trailer- turns out they'd put all the good bits in the trailer!! Good job the cinema had a bar!! A few wines & I didn't care so much that the film was so shit!!

Bluewombler2k · 28/08/2016 09:14

Been up for hours and remembered we have Inside Out on Amazon. 20 minutes in and I am crying already, this is going to be like a scab that I can't leave alone or turn off

Bluewombler2k · 28/08/2016 09:15

Didn't mean to underline. I blame the tears.

Joydgreen88 · 28/08/2016 09:18

Eden Lake, what was I thinking?! And The Hills Have Eyes - the remake. Truly hideous, no idea why I watched it. More recently, Event Horizon. WHY? My DP loves horrors so I'll sit and watch them with him, after realising 10 seconds in I'm not going to sleep for a week.

OnwardsAndUpwardsYo · 28/08/2016 09:22

Oh goodness, I just read the wiki page on a Serbian film. I agree with previous poster, it should never have been made.

ParanoidGynodroid · 28/08/2016 09:23

Can't think of any names, but probably just about every rom-com or chick-flick I have ever seen. Can't stand fluff-light, predictable dross.

I have never ever been frightened by a horror film, (I'd love to be!) but I did stop watching Eden lake halfway through. Not because it was scary but because it was just so nasty. I don't wish I hadn't seen it, though, and may finish it at some time.
I've liked some of the films mentioned here as boring!

FrozenAteMyDaughter · 28/08/2016 09:28

Law Abiding Citizen with Gerard Butler. Thats two hours of my life I'll never get back.

Lost in Translation. Everyone raved about it and I was bored rigid.

frostyfingers · 28/08/2016 09:30

The Hitcher with Rutger Hauer - frightened the life out of me.....

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitcher_(1986_film)

redexpat · 28/08/2016 09:31

The Magdalene sisters. So distressing.

ISpeakJive · 28/08/2016 09:31

Two bloody brilliant films:

Schindlers list
Sleepers

Watched them once and that was enough. Totally depressed me.
