I have watched A Grand Day Out with Wallace and Gromit soooo many times!

What has your child had on repeat?

Dd1 - bambi, lilo and stitch and the magic railroad.
Dd1 - toy story 3, cars, the magic railroad
Dts - currently Lego movie and the magic fucking railroad.

I hate that fucking irritating railroad.

Buttons23 · 07/03/2016 10:47

The Croods. It's been my son's favourite film for months and we have had to watch it repeatedly.

Also at Christmas he wanted Arthur Christmas on every day. After Christmas I told him we had lost it on purpose because I hate it

Ludways · 07/03/2016 10:58

Brum
Babe
Star Wars
Garfield
Maisy Mouse

Dd, had a "Learn to sing with Barbie DVD", it was all LA LA LA on scales etc. I wanted to stick needles in my ears!

BlueJug · 07/03/2016 11:00

DD1 Thomas the Tank Engine videos and Pingu videos.
DS 2 Finding Nemo and Cars

Thurlow · 07/03/2016 11:03

Toy Story 2.

Could we have a change of scenery and watch Toy Story 3 once in a while, maybe? I like Ken. Ken makes me laugh. But no; Toy Story 2. Again. And again. And again...

RatOnnaStick · 07/03/2016 11:06

Cars. Cars 2. Planes. For ages. Every day for a year at least.

Now it's not films at all its Andy's dinosaur/prehistoric adventures.

Dolly80 · 07/03/2016 11:09

I think I've been quite lucky with my daughter, aside from Frozen, she's had phases for different films - Toy Story 1, 2 & 3, Tinkerbell & the Pirate Fairy, Tinkerbell & the Neverbeast, Curious George Swings into Spring and Lilo & Stitch.

Fortunately, I don't hate any of them wish I could say the same about Paw Patrol & Peppa Pig

A lot! We have a massive DVD collection, and we generally only watch DVDs rather than broadcast stuff. They are 6 and 8.

Lots of Disney/Pixar, Studio Ghibli, Dreamworks, and a few French animations (King and the Mockingbird, and Ernest and Celestine are awesome). They are starting to get into live action ones, so Harry Potters (only 1-3), Percy Jackson, National Treasures.

In terms of episode type DVDs, Fawlty Towers, and a lot of older cartoons Dangermouse, Trapdoor, Dungeons and Dragons, Transformers, Pink Panther, Looney Tunes... and they're majorly into Ben and Holly (don't blame them, it's so funny!). Yesterday I chose to watch the Avatar cartoons (the last airbender, nothing to do with those blue people on Pandora) - DD was all "ohhh I remember that it's so BORING" but by 5 minutes in they were both hooked :o

I swear we do have a life outside of watching DVDs! Blush

fuzzpig · 07/03/2016 11:19

Oh and they also love Pocoyo but we watch it on youtube as the DVDs got damaged through overuse. Might have to invest.

I need a new copy of the Lorax too, I really miss that film. So funny!

ToriaPumpkin · 07/03/2016 12:29

Arthur Christmas, which I tried telling him you can only watch at Christmas as the elves take it away, but then some fuckwit found it and said "Weren't you looking for this?"

Cars/Cars 2 was a particularly harrowing stage in my life.

OhShutUpThomas · 07/03/2016 12:32

My username says it all.

Particularly Blue Mountain Mystery and The Adventure Begins.

Juanbablo · 07/03/2016 12:34

Ds1 used to watch Cars and Toy Story over and over again.

Ds2 loves Big Hero 6 and The Lion King.

Dd has less obsessive tendencies but I am getting sick of Topsy and Tim.

UmbongoUnchained · 07/03/2016 12:35

I have to have all 3 toy story films just playing on a loop all day. DD is obsessed and fancies the pants off buzz.

Juanbablo · 07/03/2016 12:35

Oh we watched Ponyo every day for a looooong time.

mogloveseggs · 07/03/2016 12:36

Dd-labyrinth, curious George, harry Potter
Ds-robots, curious George, toy storys (I've banned Thomas the tank for a bit I can't cope Wink).

BertieBotts · 07/03/2016 12:38

DS was this:

He called it "James in the mud" and we had to watch it 100 times a day.

I can still sing along word for word and he's seven now Blush

knittedslippersx2 · 07/03/2016 12:39

Pete's Dragon!

BertieBotts · 07/03/2016 12:39

YY and Cars. I get a bit emotional actually if I hear the songs from Cars now Blush

Go on, go on, I dare you. No sniffling.

HackerFucker22 · 07/03/2016 12:45

Cars 2 and Ice Age 3. And Finding Nemo (cannot abide Nemo as it was looped once when we were in A&E when DS was about 1 and we must have seen it 4 times yes we waited a long time to be seen)

fuzzpig · 07/03/2016 13:20

I really love the 'sh-boom' song from Cars, when they're all enjoying the newly lit up Radiator Springs. DH found me the sheet music of the original version :)

HerdOfRhino · 07/03/2016 13:24

Thanks for answering, everyone.

fuzzpig, at the risk of sounding like a weirdo, I always think your family sounds lovely from the stuff you post on mn.

aw rhino thanks Blush (no you don't sound like a weirdo) we are far from perfect but we get on well as we're basically a family of very similar geeks :o

Happy feet and happy feet two, dd asks for "penguins telly" every day! I quite like the music though and we have a good dance to it. She will stand in front of the TV and not move for the entire time it's on Blush

OhSoggyBiscuit · 07/03/2016 16:18

I used to watch Toy Story, Lion King and Disney's Robin Hood over and over again to the point of wearing out the vhs tape as a little girl.
