The Revenant _ load of rubbish or a masterpiece? Discuss

I am not a Leonardo de Caprio fan but the hype around this (particularly around it possibly winning him an Oscar) has been so massive that I went to see it this afternoon.

Well- what a pile of poo. That's 156 minutes of my life wasted. It was shocking and far and away the worst thing in it was LdC's performance. At one point I laughed out loud because it was all so ludicrous. Luckily it is a noisy movie so no one could hear me. The only good thing I can say about it is that it was beautifully shot.

Did anyone like it ? If so, tell me what I'm missing.

Bahahahahahaha. I am FASCINATED by Edward Burtynsky's pics, Moose. Jaw dropping. The scale is awesome in the true sense of the word, and oddly beautiful in the complexity. Just riveting.

I loved it too. As others have said the realistic portrayal of how hard life actually must have been was interesting. Love both LCD and TH so it was win win for me.
