Heavenlypink, are you sure? I'm positive I watched it in 89. Bloody loved it.
But, as Sparks knows, I'll have About Last Night.

southeastastra · 25/10/2015 18:42

Sparklingbrook · 25/10/2015 18:43

We are so predictable ThenLater. Grin Can't beat Rob Lowe's arse. Wink

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 25/10/2015 18:45

Oh, you're right Heavenly. It must be because it has an 80s vibe.

Local Hero and Reds are another 2 I love in a non romcom kind of way.

TheWoodenSpoonOfMischief · 25/10/2015 18:47

I love Dangeroys Liasons! It's one of my favourite films.
Trading places and Flatliners are fab too. I'd forgotten some of those mentioned.
A pp was right - I need a whole weekend!

Blues Brothers - just so much fun to watch

thegiddylimit · 25/10/2015 18:53

Adult women (old enough to remember the 80s?) I'd say TopGun or Risky Business to appreciate Tom Cruise at his prettiest.

The Breakfast Club is definitely one of the best, I do have a soft spot for Ferris Bueller but watched it recently and identified too closely with Cameron's Dad and just thought 'I would be so angry if my teenage son destroyed my collector's car' (not that I could ever afford that Ferrari) which kind of ruined the ending.

TalkinPeece · 25/10/2015 18:54

Its dark, we are wearing sunglasses .....

Sparklingbrook · 25/10/2015 18:55

YY giddy suddenly when you have teenage sons FBDO isn't funny any more.

I haven't seen The Breakfast Club (or Back To The Future, for that matter). Why is it such a popular choice ?

Newlacesleeves · 25/10/2015 20:52

Desperately Seeking Susan
The Sure Thing

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 25/10/2015 21:01

I'm a child of the 80s and suggest:

Ghostbusters
Working Girl
The Princess Bride
The Blues Brothers
Heathers
Gremlins
Back To The Future

alteredimages · 26/10/2015 08:13

yy to heathers and the princess bride. Smile

What about Labyrinth or Fast Times at Ridgemont High?
Stand By Me is probably a bit too much of a downer.

Raging Bull and Scarface are also both 80s films, though perhaps not the right vibe.

I am going to binge watch 80s movies now.

IKnowIAmButWhatAreYou · 26/10/2015 08:16

Weird Science
Gremlins
The Dark Crystal
Terminator 1 & 2
