What films do people recommend on Netflix? I don't mind what to watch, apart from horror.

House of Cards, but set aside the weekend, as you wont want to stop

HitsAndMrs · 29/06/2015 12:16

Orange is the new black. Addicted!

babyiwantabump · 29/06/2015 12:26

I watched "Begin Again" last night - was not expecting too much but ended up pretty good.

TinyManticore · 29/06/2015 12:29

House of Cards (US and UK, both brilliant)
Homeland
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Whitechapel
Dexter

TinyManticore · 29/06/2015 12:29

Sorry, just noticed you said films but I mainly watch TV on it

Rivercam · 30/06/2015 19:37

I just watched Parade's End. I never saw it when it was on TV and I thought it was really good.

Also community is really really funny.

BeccaMumsnet · 01/07/2015 12:42

Is 50/50 still on there? That's a fab film.

Northumberlandlass · 01/07/2015 12:47

The Killing

ASettlerOfCatan · 02/07/2015 23:47

Don't watch Godzilla. I just saved you 2 hours. Do watch Edge of Tomorrow.

Kaekae · 05/07/2015 13:13

Season 1 of Grace and Kelly
Mister and Pete (a film)

Etihad · 05/07/2015 13:17

There are quite a few really good documentary films on there, if you are looking for something a bit different. Watched the one about Anonymous last night, explains a lot about internet culture and wider political issues.

The Bridge

Not a film, but the selection of series is better than the selection of films on Netflix IMHO.

madmother1 · 05/07/2015 13:18

You must watch Breaking Bad! !! Have just finished it this morning. Only 62 episodes. Absolutely brilliant.

AustinHolmes967 · 16/07/2015 08:44

Thanks for the article! Btw, I have just joined the BETA of Filmefy, which is a Netflix search engine. It will tell you the regions a movie or show is available in. Then, you can use any VPN/DNS/Proxy and change your country to that region.

The Bridge

Sens8 is the best thing on Netflix imo!

BagelwithButter · 18/07/2015 20:11

Orphan Black - without doubt one of the best things ever - amazing acting by Tatiana Maslany and the rest of the cast, gripping storyline, just fantastic!

BagelwithButter · 18/07/2015 20:13

Blackfish, documentary about orcas in Seaworld, is gripping, sad and makes you want to boycott Seaworld for ever.

Suzietastic · 25/07/2015 15:18

The Bridge. It's stayed with me for a long time that one.

Lespetites · 29/04/2017 20:59

Anything new on Netflix this month?

"Sens8 is the best thing on Netflix imo!" didn't like it but though Orhan Black was wonderful.

pinkmagic1 · 29/04/2017 21:02

Watched Ben Hur last night, very good film if you like things like gladiator etc.

Lespetites · 29/04/2017 21:32

Thanks Pink, I actually did like Gladiator though not terribly keen on long fighting scenes. I'll check the trailer out. AM watching Versailles on iPlayer in desperation now.
