@Stewandsocks "it was an addiction, so not really his fault."
Really? I hope you are being sarcastic.

We need a sarcasm font.

Horrific story poor poor woman. The trauma she endured is shocking.
I hope she gets the justice she deserves
Her ‘husband’ is a disgusting, vile individual

ARichtGoodDram · 03/09/2024 10:12

She is one brave lady!

It's a shame that, because the case will be considered closed after the trial, that the men who are currently unidentified will never face trial even if they later are.

Overbearingndn · 03/09/2024 10:14

manywanderings · 02/09/2024 23:24

It's a horrific story. I know she was drugged/unconscious but was she aware of any of this at all over the 10 year period?

I read today that she thought she had an unknown illness and lost a lot of weight. Horrifyingly, she went to the gynecologist with unexplained problems.

user47 · 03/09/2024 10:19

https://archive.ph/NAG6v the association her daughter has formed is called "Don't put me to sleep" I cannot find a website connected to it. It is mentioned at the bottom of this article.

I read that there were a very small number of men who visited, realised it was non-consensual and then left. How could they not report to the police - even anonymously.

A truly, truly remarkable woman. Has been through hell and continuing to do so as the trial goes on and her children. I hope she can carve some sort of future.

I'm guessing that they didn't report because they were on a website for men interested in sex with drugged women. They obviously didn't want the police to know.

BobVanceVanceRefridgeration · 03/09/2024 10:30

I don't know how the men have any defence at all. Apparently they were told not to smoke or wear aftershave so as not to wake her and if she so much as moved an arm, they were to leave. How they could then think it's consensual is beyond me

The judges originally wanted it closed as they were afraid it would offend public decency but Gisele insisted it be an open case so her abusers would not be be able to hide behind closed doors

What an absolute saint of a woman

Her husband made it very clear to the men that she was drugged and wasn't aware of what was going on. They met on a website for men into raping drugged women, so there's no doubt they were aware she wasn't consenting.

As you say, he had stipulations, they had to park away from the house, not smoke or wear cologne, had to leave if she moves and couldn't leave anything behind.

They are all sick monsters and I'm assuming they have families of their own and wives. Many had respectable jobs.

Ellerby83 · 03/09/2024 10:36

What a brave woman. It just shows that catching and investigating a crime such as upskirting can uncover something as horrific as this. Well done to the security guard.

Giggorata · 03/09/2024 10:42

Full of admiration for Gisele and of fury for these fucking animals.

Stewandsocks · 03/09/2024 00:10

Amazing woman, so brave.

I thought I knew how appallingly women could be treated by men, but for there to be a website set up to link up men who want to rape a drugged women with the husbands who want to make this happen actually surprised me.

What disgusting lowlife scum they all are.

Husband's barrister says he's very sorry though, it was an addiction, so i suppose not really his fault.

Hope the last sentence was firmly tongue in cheek!

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 03/09/2024 11:00

I don't know how the hell she is carrying on. What strength and bravery.

Reminds me of David Fuller who was arrested after his DNA matched some DNA from two historical murder/rape cases. They went to his house to arrest him and there found thousands of videos of him abusing corpses at the hospital where he worked. It makes you wonder how many more men are out there with appalling secrets yet to be found out.

user47 · 03/09/2024 11:08

@Waitingfordoggo yes, this is so important. Every time they let a predatory man off a 'minor' incident they increase the likelihood he will become more bold in his crimes and miss the opportunity to investigate him for serious crimes. Wayne Cousins is another notable example but EVERY MAN who assaults or preys on a woman in public should be properly investigated.

This is one of the most horrific stories I have ever read. The poor woman.

And that so many men actually sought out sex with an unresponsive woman - it beggars belief. What is WRONG with some men?

Portolaurel · 03/09/2024 11:16

I'm lost for words. This is horrific.

What a brave brave woman.

Mumof2namechange · 03/09/2024 11:39

This is one of the most horrifying things I've ever read.

Does anyone know if the list of 51 co defendants is public? I want to know their names.

MsLavender · 03/09/2024 11:43

Absolutely horrific, she is such an incredibly strong woman. I also feel for the poor women who were married to the other monsters who carried out these acts, imagine being told your partner/husband was involved?!

SoIShowedUpAtYourPartyy · 03/09/2024 12:51

These monsters knew exactly what was going on. How would anyone believe they thought Giselle had consented.
They're clearly just desperate to save their necks, marriages and reputations.

Such admiration for her and her children. Hope these men rot in hell.

manywanderings · 03/09/2024 13:06

It looks like it's only in French unfortunately.

manywanderings · 03/09/2024 13:18

This report explains it all better than some of the Uk papers. Horrendous that she knew nothing about it and "missed days" of her life. And saw gynaecologists wondering what was wrong with her.

Makes you wonder how many serial rapists/murderers/utter bastards would be caught/prevented from escalating, a hell of a lot earlier if things like up skirting/catcalling or even stalking were investigated fully the first time.

deeahgwitch · 03/09/2024 15:17

I sincerely hope photographs of the depraved men who participated in the appalling rapes will be shown to all and sundry so they will be forever known for their depravity.
They should be named and shamed.

My word but Gisele is one brave woman.
