After being on testosterone for more than a decade!
Perhaps still a woman then, despite all that 'treatment'.
I would seriously worry for the baby for both physical and psychological reasons. That baby is being and has been experimented on.

Sandyankles · 04/08/2024 17:18

The photo just looks like a large man, a tiny bald woman and a massive baby.

Heterosexual couple of baby - and everyone pretends to be surprised.

It is very strange that regular heterosexual piv sex doesn’t trigger the mother’s dysphoria.

magicmushrooms · 04/08/2024 17:19

Ahh the power of biology - it cannot be ignored. Biological facts do need to be better understood by the trans community - they do tend to override the extreme cosmetic appearances which they indulge in.

pregnancy for men needs to be talked about more often and that, if carrying a biological child is the dream, it's possible. 🙄

Woman gets pregnant. Shock, horror!

Since they had been on testosterone for more than a decade, they hadn't menstruated in eight years and had only one active ovary the doctor said the chance of conceiving was less than 1.8 per cent

Rest of article = bollocks

Thunderpants88 · 04/08/2024 17:22

”we are a gay couple” no you are not you are a male female couple!

tedgran · 04/08/2024 17:22

Are they able to breastfeed or did they have a double mastectomy?

ditalini · 04/08/2024 17:26

That's a shocker from the doctor. Submits patient to lots of tests, finally suggesting a pituary tumour.

Neglects to perform a pregnancy test on a female of childbearing age.

outdamnedspots · 04/08/2024 17:26

Ffs, how stupid are some people? Regularly having PIV sex, taking no precautions, surprised to get pg?!

What's the likely effect on the baby of the testosterone?!

And what other resources did he want for 'pregnant men'? A normal pg book would work.

God.

Viviennemary · 04/08/2024 17:32

A woman who would rather be a man has a baby. You can't choose.

Yes, but there was still a chance, even if it was a small chance. She is still a woman and had a 1.8% chance of getting pregnant. She got pregnant. It's lucky but hardly a miracle of science

Rightsraptor · 04/08/2024 17:35

Sandifer had been on testosterone for more than a decade when the pregnancy was discovered and Sandiford is 27 now?

I agree about the baby's head, btw. I'd be concerned about that if I was working with the family. It might not be testosterone-related at all, but I'd be wanting it checked out (maybe it has been).

Did you not see the dad's head though? As in sperm provider to be clear.

She. Did she have a double mastectomy, unless you're asking if both of them had a double mastectomy

Like they noticed the pregnancy? The six month pregnancy? 😂

MonsteraMama · 04/08/2024 17:43

That baby is fawking MASSIVE, her poor vagina.

-misses point of thread entirely-

heathspeedwell · 04/08/2024 17:43

We know from those poor East German athletes who were given testosterone that taking it can have terrible effects on children - even if the babies are born many years after taking T has stopped.

It's a horrible thing to risk doing to a child.

God.

If the chance of them getting pregnant was 1.8% and they'd had no periods in 8 years, they had very, very low odds of getting pregnant: not impossible but nonetheless surprising (less than 5% is women 45 years+).
What is surprising is having vaginal sex in the first place

  1. because of atrophy due to testosterone
  2. because penetrative gay sex (as they claim to identify as) is usually anal Taking testosterone in pregnancy is not recommended. Small amounts of testosterone would be present in milk (if able to lactate having taken T in the past) - unclear what the effect of small amounts on baby would be.
