I want him not to be able to give me the flannel that we have to be kind to the woMen. I want assurances that we do t have to share our spaces. I want to not sound like the very nervous person that am I!

"Humans can't change sex" isn't an opinion, it's an observable, provable scientific fact.

Humans cannot change sex, any more than any other mammalian species can.

No idea who I am voting for now... I can't bring myself to vote Tories and Labour's stance on women leaves me without an option ... I've looked to my local candidates and no clarity there either...

I came on here wondering if there was a thread about it and you're actually on here Jane! Bravo, I did wonder whether they'd let a question in like that (with the Beeb being soooo impartial not) and you were fantastic. You held his feet to the fire and he squirmed.

This issue keeps coming up for him now, again and again he's asked about this. One would hope he's starting to catch on that perhaps pissing off women wasn't a smart choice, but he keeps blathering on about a small traumatised group of people and treating them with respect.

We should treat everyone with respect.

But if by "respect" he means unfettered access to all womens spaces, just because they declare they want it, or because they wave a bit of paper and change some documents then he can get stuffed.

@ElleWoods15 all these surveys show support for trans people against discrimination and harassment. However when you drill down into the detail the vast majority support single sex female spaces that exclude transwomen.

Yes, the several friends I have who disagree with me, we've had to agree not to talk about it, but we haven't fallen out. They're all pretty clueless about it and #bekind tbh, not trans activists.

I believe everyone has a right to exist. But I believe men under any guise should not be allowed into women's spaces.

Were you so upset when David Tennant wished for KB not to exist? As that wouldn't play well with your narrative.

We're happy for transwoMen to go about their daily life but we do not agree on their ascertain (which comes from their innate sense of male privilege) that they are women and so should be allowed into women's spaces. They are men biologically. We are happy for them to have a third space if they feel threatened or embarrassed, happy for a separate category in sporting events but we do not agree with women's rights being eroded on the back of men's demands. Especially when those demands are based on beliefs and not facts.

Think of all the legal and political training Starmer's had and Jane The Woman had him blustering on the ropes with Campbell having to rescue him.

Frustrated for you when he kept dodging and redirecting but it shows what he's completely stonewalled and not to be trusted an inch on women's issues.

I'm late to the thread, but I would have suggested this for Jane's question:

Mr Starmer, are you able to answer a question about women's rights without burbling on about trans people and naming a murdered teenager?

Because clearly he cannot, the absolute waste of space.
