This is crucial. Even if this trans person were a natural born woman, I don't think it would be easy to justify this deeply weird and inappropriate act on any level. There are only two reasons to want someone else's mouth sucking on your nipple.

Reason 1 is to nourish a hungry baby or soothe a fractious baby with a mother's milk - even if it's not the baby's birth mother and it's done by another lactating woman out of necessity to feed a hungry baby when the mother can't. This reason cannot in any way apply here. This person isn't lactating.

Reason 2 is for sexual or personal gratification or fetishistic self indulgence.

Ok, I see this person was going through some sort of induced lactation process by being given hormones, but it's still not excusable. It's not the baby's mother. If a trans person wants or needs to feed a baby they can use formula or expressed milk from the birth mother. I doubt a trans woman could ever produce enough milk to sustain the child fully anyway so honestly, why bother? It's an awful lot of trouble and medical intervention for very little benefit, least of all to the baby. This person isn't even the child's parent. It's an absolute joke.

I think the doctors who are facilitating and enabling this are playing Frankenstein's Monster here and the baby is being exploited in oder to fulfil someone else's fantasy.

The interesting thing here is that if a baby's grandmother suddenly piped up two months before the birth that she wanted to breastfeed her grandchild and it would fulfil her as a woman and increase her breast size and help her feel more bonded to the grandchild than she had to her own children, I would expect an entire washing line of safeguarding red flags to pop up in the midwife's mind. It's a textbook example of putting your own needs ahead of the baby's needs, never mind the mother's needs. In that sense it's in fact the least sex-specific thread on this board.

Nonetheless, so far every one of the reported examples there are of male people wanting this DO sound highly sexually motivated. Sexualising breastfeeding is something male people do. Another interesting question of course is whether that's driven by their sex or their gender. While that's being debated, ethics committees need to step in. It seems to me that one of the most useful things that GC people can do is to apply for spots in research ethics committees.
