The trolls story, what a load of rubbish as a reason for putting Edgeway on hold. Blame it all on something else and play the victim as per Liz! Why is she so worried about protecting her 'writers'. I'm sure she ignored all manuscripts in favour of travelling once the launch party was done and the attention dwindled. She didn't care about people she defrauded out of money?? Why the sudden concern for Edgeway writing contributors? What a liar!

Oh Liz. Expose the “trolls.” The women whose husbands you slept with. Whose money you took. Share their comments. All of them. Let your audience decide if they’re trolls or truth tellers.

if you want police stories I can give you police stories. First I’ve been to the police about your extorting from vulnerable woman. Second, I saw my husband jailed thanks to the support of the police. If you want a case study I can give you an 18 months plus timeline from first call to charging but you blocked me cause I asked when a report from the NCDV would be available. not crime of the century.

Of all the stories, ObservingToo, I find yours the most heartbreaking when we're talking about her money crimes. Utterly despicable woman. How dare she!

That video from Liz 🤔 I wonder how long it took to finalise her story and rehearse it so that it would be plausible to the world (her world)? It's straight out of the Liz Fraser playbook - twist the narrative so that you absolve yourself of all responsibility then milk the sympathy for all it's worth. All delivered in her look-at-me-would-I-lie-to-you practised style (perfected over many years).

@ObservingToo It must add so much insult to so much injury to hear these well-rehearsed excuses and see the faux sincerity with which she speaks and expects not to be challenged.

The sad fact is we all saw this coming in June!!! She doesn't have the skill-set for such exacting work as publishing. Once the gloss of launches and interviews are over she doesn't have a clue.

I found the video almost like someone creating a story and then trying to convince themselves that it’s plausible. And the can’t give the money back because I spent it all on setting up the company? It can cost very little to register a company. There is no office. Social media accounts are free. You can set up websites for free or for very little. No paper because no books. No printing or editorial costs because no books. No staff costs because intern is free and no books. No business cards because they were made out of a piece of paper. Seriously, where did it all go? On the bus fare to get free entry (as Press NOT as a publisher) to the London book fair? I’m absolutely shocked by this

I would find myself crippled by guilt and the fear of getting caught if I were her.

Then the postie came by and said "good on you love", and she cried dramatically as she took the registration documents from his hand. End of Edgeway Press. What a fraud this woman is. I think it's time people were put in the picture. Some guy made a massive donation - wasn't that mentioned on here recently? What did she do with his money I wonder? Stay at that expensive hotel in Salzburg (that she claimed hired her - and no evidence of that since). I'm speechless. She's a con artist. They should make a Netflix documentary outing her.

If she registered EP as a business entity then she’ll have to submit accounts won’t she? Show the donations received and the outgoings. Don’t think HMRC let you off the hook for trolls.

Unless she has the Trademark for Edgeway Press, what’s the crime? I’ll ask my neighbour. She’s a police officer. I suspect though, if there is a copyright infringement issue, this would be a civil dispute.

What tosh. There's no company to speak of except for the company she has registered at companies house (just look on Google - company number and financial information with filing dates included - how will she dodge that I wonder? Pretend she dying again?)

She has slipped up in the second vid and completely forgotten that she said said in the first vid that Edgeway Press is "on pause". She clearly has zero intention of resurrecting it. She has blamed other people and run off with the money. This woman needs to be exposed now. This is low behaviour. "This was never about me, it was only to help others". I just pray the new likely 20 something bf gets out the moment he gets a whiff of her psychopathy.

What a very strange reel that was. Stating that the folding of her non-existent business was a 'gain' to her in terms of time and money - you would think that if she felt that way, she wouldn't have set it up in the first place. Of course a publishing company takes time and money and effort to build up, which is precisely why she can't be arsed to do it, because she has realised that she would have to do a hell of a lot of work with new authors - reading, editing, submitting, printing, marketing etc. In all my many years in publishing I have never, ever, seen somebody use the excuse of 'trolls' to pull out of the industry. It's not trolls she has a problem with - it's people, ALL people who would expect any sort of time and commitment from her. Pretty transparent, really!

I should add that, I can't view the entire reel but I'm intrigued to hear about the Virginia Woolf first edition if anybody might enlighten me. I've written three books about Woolf myself and I can confidently state that as a publisher, editor and writer, Woolf was the real deal. And she WORKED, by God she worked at it. Night and Day (!)

Agree with @Physicsrevision that it's probably in the nature of an addictive cycle now. Such an obvious ending to it! And one which was predicted by several ladies on this thread from the start... just to reiterate, I really hope this thread stays up and anyone ever tempted to give to her finds it on google and understands not to subscribe/give charitable donations to the fund of Liz! Mumsnet has a standard warning on begging threads; she needs one herself!
