It's utterly ridiculous.
At the same time I feel like s/he is just a puppet who was groomed from a young age to become a media prop, and I feel so sorry for them.

Imagine how great Dylan will be at womaning when's he's a bit more experience - does he get the Miss Universe title after 2 full years of womaning?

I read a thread about this yesterday.

It said it was the first time Attitude magazine had given a Woman of the Year award, and

“I understand that the magazine advertises itself as a ‘Gay men’s lifestyle magazine’.

Virgin Atlantic sponsored the awards.”
