Feminism: chat

The special rules are not pinned to the top of Feminism chat but are on Sex and gender. Have they changed? What is this board exactly for?
I think it's so incredibly rude of MN to just change this without even once deigning to come onto Feminism to talk about it and how we are 'meant' to use it.
What about all the previous content of feminism support, theory etc? Where has that ended up?

Hold on a moment?
Are you saying the changes have been made, no discussion / survey / no announcement.
And to top it all they have the arrogance to decide which threads should be move where.
Seriously it makes Boris Johnson look like a team player.
And makes mumsnet look totally ridiculous. A bit like the Fawcett Society not quite remembering what made them relevant.

Well, there are various ways to protest. How about using this thread testing 123 to post absolutely everything on until it runs out and then start another one ad infinitum.
It is their board, they can do what they like but so can we .
I have noticed that this is still in sex & gender, therefore if you use the word sex in the title - relevant or not, it should end up on the other board www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/4276495-The-Mirror-stop-telling-women-how-not-to-be-murdered#add_message

think so @stumbledin - the Jess de Wahls thread I was just following moved from feminism chat to sex and gender. I had to be quick to notice.

Let me get this right.
We told MNHQ we didn't need a new board to discuss sex and gender, since discussion of sex or gender are pretty central to feminist discussions.
MNHQ went and made us a shiny new board that we don't want.
Incidentally, since we are posting here about everything, I read that Jane Clare Jones piece about the Terf Wars and it is a work of genius. Thanks to whoever posted the link (on another thread, forget which).

I think the new boards are inevitable. I have no idea how content will be split or policed - I suspect it'll be up to the op. I guess specific things about gender identity itself should go in S&G and everything else in Feminism chat.
Looks like there has been some jiggling around earlier. Hope old links won't be messed up.
