Why don't you want to go to see your GP, if you don't mind me asking?

In saying that, I did the same as you and weaned myself off gradually, but I know it's not recommended.

Like you, a took one every other day, then started taking just 1/2 on some those days, slowly moving to just 1/2 every other day until I started dropping some of the days, but really, it's best to get some professional advice, no point in jeopardising all the good work you've done to get to the point when you feel you're ready to give them up.

Good luck

that is true, I think when I go to see the gp they are going to ask me about getting my tonsils out and I do need it done but can't yet as I have no childcare.

dita, I'm sure they can't force you to have your tonsils out Could you try to see a different GP if you're really worried about it perhaps?

Otherwise, if they do bring it up just explain it's something you'll address once you're in a position to do so. I'm sure they'll understand, it's your body after all.
