Hi all
Need some advice re: DH reducing his Cymbalta. Basically, he has suffered from depression on and off since I met him (15 years ago) but things hit rock bottom last year, where he recognised that he needed some kind of external help.
He started taking Cymbalta (60mg) which worked really well, although recently he had jittery feelings. He felt well enough to discuss coming off it, as he was unhappy with the side effects, and is now on a half dose, due to finiah this week.
Since the weekend, I have been very aware that he is behaving as he did before he started on Cymbalta. On Saturday night we had an inconsequential row about when we'd leave a party, which ended up with him walking off, telling me I was nothing without him, and throwing the magazines he was carrying at me, so that a passer-by intervened.
Tonight, we were discussing something relatively important. He missed my comment due to being distracted by the tv, then again for a second time. When I remonstrated he listened, said nothing, then picked up my laptop and threw it out of the window.
This is how he was before. He claims that nothing is different from a year ago, it's just that our relationship is bad. He thinks that I am ascribing everything to him coming off Cymbalta.
Any wise words gratefully received.
