Hi Angel, my father is on this medication but he has dimentia. So would be interested to find out more of the symptoms, feelings that you are going through so I can understand what he is feeling.

Hi Angel, dont know why you are on this tablet but my dad has been on it for two months now, thinking back on it he did sometimes appear sluggish etc. On a good point he now is so much better so hopefully you will with each passing day

my dad is on these for dimentia and was prescribed because he was wandering, agitated etc. Not happy about the withdrawal symptoms as he may be coming of them soon to go a a dimentia drug

talk to the doctor about getting blood levels done in a few weeks. It's worse as your liver gets up to speed, then settles out once your blood levels get back to 'normal'. But, if it comes back again, talk to them.

Regarding the eyes, shakes, etc, I found coca-cola good, lying down good, and generally trying to sleep though it. Don't drink alcohol, or grapefruit juice, as this will make it worse a couple of days later because of interactions.

Also, take it with a meal, and just before bed (so the worst of the side-effects are when you're asleep). If it doesn't improve, there is a slow release version.

I'm not a medical person, but I've been on it 15 years for epilepsy. What I personally do if the side effects happen is take a tiny bit less for one dose, to reduce the side-effects, then go back to the normal dose. If it's really bothering you, talk to the GP about if you could do the same - and get him to suggest the exact amounts to do it. I also take slightly more before bedtime and less during the day. But talk to your GP about any changes if you want to make them.

Hope some of that helps.....
