Prozac and nightmares

Hello hoping someone can share experience with me.
Was disgnosed with PND a couple of weeks after DD birth. This was accompanied by a very uncharacteristic OCD (normally so scatterrained).
Doctor gave me Prozac to take as I had used it before about 10 years ago.
The depression has lifted I'm glad to say but I am now suffering with horrendous anxiety and very bad nightmares (waking up screaming etc).
As soon as one occasion is over I just move onto worrying about the next and this time it's my return to work on June 1st.
I have an appointment at the doctors on Friday but I don't really know what to say as I think it's the medication that is making me anxious. Any thoughts anyone?

do you take it first thing or at night?

first thing is recommended as it can disturb sleep.

good luck with it, take care

Thanks. I take it about 7am.

sounds like you need to change medication. sometimes it takes a while to sort out.

I would mention it you might need to change. I started Citalopram a week ago along with beta blocks to stop the physical symptoms of anxiety. I've found them really helpful.

Good luck

blockers [sigh]

Thanks everyone. Your thoughts were a big help and the doctor has changed me to Citalopram. Here's hoping when the baby sleeps I can too!

Good luck! I've found it very good, very little side effects tbh and i seem to be the sort of person who gets every side effect
