Permanent hunger & sertraline?

Does anyone know if it's common to feel permanently hungry on sertraline? I've been feeling increasingly hungry for the last week. For the last couple of days I simply can not get rid of my hunger-I can eat a huge (and healthy) meal, and still feel starving.....I'm struggling to sleep due to the hunger.

is it on the list of side-effects? i was on it for a long time, only AD that worked for me, and didn't have a problem in that respect, but obv that doesn't mean it isn't them causing it for you...

might be worth a chat with the GP?

From what I've read, it's quite well known for causing a reduction in appetite. I've never experienced hunger like this-no amount of eating gets rid of the hunger for more than 5 minutes....

Sorry, should have mentioned that- just over 3 weeks.

it might just be taking a while to settle down, sometimes the side effects disappear after a few weeks.

are you happy with the meds aside from this?
