A really bad day today

Struggled today. I was up last night at 12 then at 2am when I vomited violently then again at 5am (when DH got up for work) and then again at 6:45 when DD woke me up screaming "POTTY I need a WEEEEEE!"

Feeling sooo tired. The only time I left the house today was to walk the dog. Feel so guilty as I wasted such a beautiful day.

Poor DD watched too much Cebeebies today and had beans on toast for tea

DH only just got home and is shattered. Still got so much to do before I can go to bed. I feel crappy.

It sounds like you have caught a bug. Don't be too hard on yourself. You're ill so you're bound to feel shit today. Tomorrow's weather is set to be good too so you won't have wasted a day at all. You can make the most of the sunshine tomorrow when hopefully you'll feel a bit more human.

Put off everything which needs doing for tomorrow and get yourself off to bed. That's an order

BeckyBendyLegs · 17/04/2010 20:25

GetDown poor, poor you. Being ill is horrible and sounds like you were looking after your DD by yourself and that's really hard when you're not well. I think you did really well in the circumstances (and I bet your DD thought a day of CBeebies and beans on toast for tea was a real treat!). I remember once having flu and sitting on the floor feeling like crap with the two DSs (before DS3 was born) just running riot around me and I was incapable of getting up to make them their tea. I think they had soup in the end as that was about as much effort as I could make. These days happen.

See, we're all thinking about you! Hope you feel better tomorrow. I went down with a stomach thing last night so was feeling rubbish too. You just have to do the bare minimum and get as much rest as possible so that you'll get better quickly. Remember the low blood sugars makes you feel worse too in the short term.
Take care and look after yourself x

BeckyBendyLegs · 18/04/2010 08:23

Poor you too Arcadia! As well as everything else I have a phobia about sickness bugs, sigh! I hope you both feel better today

I hope you had a better day today GetDown

GetDownYouWillFall · 18/04/2010 20:30

I had a much better day today thankfully. Managed a good night sleep last night which has helped sooo much.

I tend to just panic when I don't sleep as it was prolonged insomnia that triggered my depression last time. It also makes me feel really physically ill.

Hope your tummy is better today arcadia ?

How are you doing at the moment LittleMarshmallow ?

I am glad today was better GetDown I will update my thread just now. Do you have much planned for this week?

GetDownYouWillFall · 18/04/2010 20:36

Got to work Mon - Wed. Then next week we go on holiday to Isle of Wight which I've been looking forward to for ages!

I just hope I will be able to sleep ok. It is a constant fear when I go to new places. Sad, I know.

I understand, I need to have a tv on when I sleep so I can focus on something other than my head. There is nothing worse than staying somewhere other than your own house and being wide awake most of the night.

GetDownYouWillFall · 18/04/2010 20:44

I know what you mean LM sometimes stuff just whizzes round and round in your brain so much it can hurt!

I'll look at your other thread, hope you are ok
