Yes and Yes!!
Have used them for two separate bouts of depression and found them extremely helpful.
they will take a while to start working (about a week I think) but then enabled me to function in everyday life and address the issues i had at the same time.
Sending you love and hope you are feeling OK soon.

Yes! took Citalopram for just over a year for PND. Stuck to 20mg dose and they were wonderful, just evened out the moods a lot. I did feel totally exhausted most of the time though, and slept very badly on them. Doc gave me temazepam to take one or two nights a week to get a good nights sleep.

Good luck

I take them too, felt a bit odd for a week or so to start with, then suddenly the anxiety lifted which was wonderful, and then the depression started to ease a week or so after that. I felt great for a year or so, tho have had to increase my dosage lately - seemed to suddenly be less effective. The effect of a long cold winter perhaps.

Good luck, they should help you.
