Hi everyone,

I suffer from aniexty and panic attacks, also had deppression months back and have been put on 20mg citaroplam (for 6 months) and it was a life saver and hadn't had a panic attack in months felt really good.

But last week i had a early MC and since then i feel the panic attacks and the anxiety and genral feeling a bit like it all could be comming back again.

I was rang up my GP about 2 months ago when i felt like i was struggeling, she wanted me to see how thing's went and i was a bit worried as it was a friday and that i would suffer all weekend, she said then if i felt i really needed to take an extra 10mg only if really needed to.

So really what i was wanted to know is do i have to see my GP now or shall i just take the extra 10mg. I have tried to get hold of my GP today but they are so busy i doubt ill get an appointment any time soon.

What would you do?

Hi - really sorry about your MC .

I think it probably is best to chat it through th your gp - even though theyve suggested it to you before. Just so that they are across what you are doing with medication.

Hi mumsie sorry you are going through this, it's no wonder you are feeling this way after the MC.

However, I wouldn't worry about going up to 30mg of citalopram, as I understand it that's a fairly moderate dose. Several of my friends are on 60mg.

You can always work on reducing it again when you are back on more of an even keel.

Thank you, im sitting here already taken my 20mg (at 6pm on the dot everyday) and wishing i took 30mg today. i just have that horrible anxious feeling in my tummy? has anyone else had that, i had it before and ot went now its back and i feel a bit panicy.

I worry myself far to much then my heart does that horrible palpitaion thing which of course freaks me out even more, like a horrible circle.

I'd go to your GP, deffo.
I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you, i think it something to do with all these hormones at the moment, my body doesnt cope well with them by the looks of it, any rise and it messes with my AD'S.

That's why you should see your GP, mumsie, and maybe get more advice. I had panic attacks and PND after my babies... hormones all over the place. Fecking hellish time.
Feel confident that you can be helped, you just need to ask for it.. and if no one hears you at first, keep asking.
Good luck

I've never had to go through that particular heartache, so I know not what to say, mumsie.
I truly hope it all works out for you.
