anyone else been prescribed Mirtazapine

Hi,have just been prescribed Mirtazapine and wondered if anyone else has tried this and would share their experience as I am unsure if I want to take anti depressants.Am concerned about the side effects mainly making you feel sedated.
Your opinions would be much appreiciated.

holynight, I was prescribed Mirtazapine and found they had absolutely no effect on me at all i.e. I had no unpleasant side effects but neither did I feel any better!
After about 2 months, I went back to the GP and she put me on good old Fluoxetine.
