I am new to mn in the last week. I have suffered with severe PostND after ds - 11years old. Sometimes depression creeps back.

i am trying to cope with schooling difficulties with ds and hormones in teenager dd.

Dh came home 2 weeks ago to tell me he has been put on notice of redundancy. Everything seems too much again at this moment. I don't know what to do.

i wish some one felt the same way

i suffer from depression Battybox so i totally know how you feel - have you been to your g.p to ask about anti depressants?

Flip · 15/06/2005 19:48

I feel cery depressed at the moment and have returned to mumsnet after being AWOL for several months to seek help. I do know how you feel.

My ds1 is pushing me to the limit. He's been excluded from school, he's attacked his phycologist, he's attacked strangers, he's pushed a kid in the pool who almost drowned, he kicked another kid in the head and gave him a concussion.... The list goes on. I'm not coping and my depression has crept back in. You're really not alone.

I feel alone. Dh has his mates to talk to at work who are going through this with him. I am a TA in a senior school - I love my job and am good at it but at home I feel down with everything.

We haven't told the kids about the redundancy until we are sure what Dh is going to do.

He gets told officially tommorrow that he is redundant. I suppose we will talk to the kids then.

coppertop · 23/06/2005 21:11

So sorry I missed this earlier, Batty. Have you had any news yet?

BattyBox · 23/06/2005 22:58

Dh is now redundant as from next thursday. he isfine and the kids know.

we are concerned about the future though.

this week at school as a TA ihavecoped with a child who is bigger than me stampin on my bag and breaking my glasses.(MONDAY)
yesterdayi was verbally abused by a year 9 pupil and today i caught a year 8 pupil looking at porn on the internet - his older brother showed him how to get round the school filter system. this has caused severe steps to be taken. i speek to snior management tomorrow and possible the police.

thanks guys
i had an astma attack today at work. the day had only just begun - i was driven from school by a collegue to the surgey - i was nebulised and put on steroids. i had a great chat with GP and nurse.

GP rang work on my behalf telling them i would not be back for the day .

i have also been invited to a friends house with the family on Sunday - that gave me a boost.

i will still take you up on the offer some dinnertime MrsF

The recent weather has been awful for people with asthma, Batty. I've used my inhaler more times in the past few days than I have in the last 5 years! I hope your feeling better now. xx
