Pls can someone talk to me?

Hi guys,

I am so fed up, and need advice, I am a mum of two dc's. A dd, 8 and ds, 2and a half who has special needs...he has a rare genetic disorder

Ths involves severe epilepsy, severe dev delay, not mobile etc, cannot talk

I am on diazepam from dr and also take co codamol strong ones for severe pain, but recently taking it for no reason, to make me feel better really, just so fed up, at the end of my tether, pls help...

Things sound really tough for you at the moment. Do you have much help in RL with it all?

Hi i know how you feel ,my son has global development and its hard all the running about . I toke depression through my pregnancy and couldnt take anything . I've been on diazepam from time to time and i think they make you feel worse after awhile they are only a short fix , why not go to your doctor and tell them how you are feeling ? Things will get better ( i no everyone says that ) but truly it does , i had depression once before and toke an overdose ( defo not the answer ) just look at your kids and think of all the happy times and what is ahead , but please talk to someone that can help you x

Is there anyone who you can talk to in rl?
I am also mum to a severely disabled child and have been where you are now, this might sound empty to you but life can and will get better.
Are you taking any anti depressents at the moment or getting counselling to look at some of the issues in raising your little one, it is so hard I know but there is support out there you just have to be brave and admit you need help now.

I have a DP and a good family, but they don't know I have bn taking the Co-codamol, every day bn taking them, what age is yr dc longagegap?

Hi HCF, X post there, I can talk to my family and DP, I am on 40mg Citalopram too, I also suffer severe OCD and depression, esp after having my kids

So is it the worry around the painkillers that is really getting to you at the moment or is it a combination of everything?

just watch taking the painkillers , when your feeling low you'll have pain and all but the painkillers make them worse , i do really feel for you cos i know what your going through in so many ways , its good you have good family , maybe you could talk to one of them ? I no thats easier said than done , it can be hard saying those little words ( i need help / or i'm very low ) but it will get eaiser once you start letting someone no . My son is 16 months and i also have a 13 year old girl . Do you know why your feeling so low tonight ? Did anything start you feeling like this ? x

It is everything yeah, but I am worried bout the painkillers, feel so ashamed, that I cannot cope without pills, feel am letting my kids down, I am just soo fed up, my ds is not getting any better and I feel so sad for him xx

Well you've toke the 1st step and came on here tonight I know its hard , my son is such a happy wee soul even though he cant do much and his smile makes me feel so much better , you havent let your children down , sometimes life can be hard but it takes a strong person to have such a special child and you will find out how strong you are once you start to feel better x

Do you think you would be able to tell your doctor how you are feeling about the painkillers, do they actually ease pain anymore or has it just become a habit to take them?
I found counselling a real life saver, literally. You need to talk about how you feel about your little one and also look at why you feel u are letting them down, which you are not by the way.

I also had to really fiddle around with my anti d's before I found something that worked, do you think the citolopram is doing you good? There are other tabs that the doc can prescibe but cant as a first chilce iyswim.

My little man is sooo happy too, the painkillers do help the pain, but a lotta the time I am taking them to feel better(the feeling you get with painkillers), I dunno if citALOPRAM working, think it is, I am gonna go for counselling, are you scottish HCF? Just wen you wrote "happy WEE soul" lol.

but I think anyone would understand why taking the tabs make you feel better but if u believe that you have a problem then i think u need to ask for help before it gets any worse

Yeah Im not sure I have a prob as YET HCF but I am aware of it[hhhmm]

lol no i'm not scottish , i'm from northern ireland though so talk the same sometimes lol Its just anything to take your mind of the stuff annoying you , do you sleep well ? If not that could also be annoying you at the moment , do go and get counselling , it does help so much . Its just trying to get everything in your head all sorted out and it can be hard at the start to talk cos you dont even no what kicks it off at the start , wish it was like a cold and you know when you are better but one day it will just hit you that u have moved on and you will be so much stronger x
