What's the weather like ogri? Can you stick dd in her pushchair and go for a walk? It always helps me just to get out of the house.

Or put some favourite music on really loudly and sing along?

I'm not being flippant - it might help.

natts · 21/05/2005 13:14

how rude of them.
got any nice films to watch or books to read for later.
plan a nice hot bath glass or two of wine and a good old chat on here. everyone will join in.
i have work all night otherwise i'd definitly join in.
what about inviting somone over for dinner or stay over for tommorrow.

Hi ogri,

I totally sympathise for a year or so I lived out in the sticks in a new area where I knew absolutely nobody. I was with my husband who works in theatre and is away alot! I used to get down and fed up too and still do even now I'm back in the town.

Best thing I found is to treat it like a pamper time just for you!! Get your fav foods in, watch your fav girlie movies etc. turn the music up loud even get the wine out and just keep in contact through the odd person on here if you can't get out to meet friends it all helps to make the time fly.

Hello I have had depression it's not nice at all I had it in the winter of September 1992 it started as I started a new job in a care home and they were horrible it lasted till July 1993 and that was the final straw I had enough of everything. I then got loads better and I had counselling training for a whole year and felt loads better. I met my dh and got married in 5 years and then we had our Joshua and I ever had the depression back. But you do get through it. I have got Josh now he keeps mummy out of mischieve but. I hope you are feeling better soon ogri
