Stopped citalopram two weeks ago and feeling utterly pissed off and miserable. Will it pass?

I'm under a lot of pressure and have had a really shit week culminating in DS2 being admitted to hospital with gastroenteritis.
So maybe not the ideal time to come off the AD's but before this i was feeling generally good and after 8 months of AD's I felt it was time to come off them.

But I am feeling really stressed again and am so pissed off with myself for not coping, when i really believed i could.

I've only just come across this, sorry.

Don't be angry at yourself for not coping, everyone struggles. I've just come off my meds as well - was on 60mg of Prozac.

Try and hang in there if you can - the first two weeks were a nightmare for me, but its gradually getting a bit more bareable. If these feelings persist try going back to the doctors - are you seeing anyone for support at the moment? It might be helpful, even if its just a temporary things.

Sending you huge hugs. x x x

did you come off too quickly?

i was only on a low dose 20mg so doc didn't seem to think i would have any problems stopping them.

i definitely haven't gone back to how i felt when i started taking them. just feel a bit low and like i need a bloody good holiday, which i do.

so glad to have a long weekend.

actually feeling better than i was on monday, just hope i can cope without them.
