Hey all

I have a query as much as anything. Following the birth of my second born, I had a bout of PND. Now I am to be a mummy for the third time and I was wondering whether the likelihood of developing PND again is increased?

I had PND with ds1 but coped very well after ds2, I was diagnosed with PND again but had far more coping strategies and help on hand so it never got as bad as before and I enjoyed the vast majority of his first year, I'm also preg with no3 and have all my strageties in place again

PND is very complex I think it depends what may have caused it (if indeed thee is a cause) for some people its mild it doesn't necessarily follow they'll have it again and they can get though it with the right support, maybe spotting signs earlier, maybe starting AN's earlier for others its a very seious condition which can involve hospital admission and I don't know where you fall, discuss it with your MW or GP as they will undestand your condition much better and have advice to offer.

IMO subsquent pregnancies don't increase your risk but maybe the risk is just as likely
