Can you do anything to sort out the work situation?

chuckieegg2008 · 16/03/2009 19:06

ive spoken to the manager but the problem hasnt been resolved.

The person acts all nice to me around the manager and other people but when its just us 2 she has trouble talking to me and if i try and make conversation its just a one worded answer with her, so i think now why bother trying to talk to her.

There you are.

Don't waste your time talking to her if she isn't going to talk back.

Get on with your work and do what has to be done.

chuckieegg2008 · 16/03/2009 19:41

im trying but i just hate tension and its upsetting me

Why do you think this is making you think about things from your past?

chuckieegg2008 · 16/03/2009 19:49

whenever im down i always think about things that have gone wrong in my past

OP posts:
Nabster · 16/03/2009 19:50

But the upset you are suffering now due to this work colleague isn't because of your past.

chuckieegg2008 · 16/03/2009 19:52

i know but it still makes me think of my past

sorry to but in chuckieegg (am just off) I just wanted to add that some people are always going to be miserable and you need to put on a smile and make an effort not to let them bring you down,

We have a couple of women where I work who refuse to speak to me and another lady because we were new(2 years ago)! There is no other reason! They love the drama of being miserable.

Its hard sometimes esp when we have to work closely together but I do my best to remember that it is their problem not mine.

Last year one of the miserable ladies and I had a task to do together and she was too busy sorting out her drawer so I did it alone much to the amazement of everyone (it was a 2 man job) and I received loads of comments on what a good job I did!

dollius · 16/03/2009 19:56

Maybe that is why you are having trouble coping with the problem at work - because it reminds you of/bring up memories of things in your past. Perhaps you need to concentrate on resolving those things first?

chuckieegg2008 · 16/03/2009 20:07

i think its too late to sort them problems out dollius, the thing is when i had these problems in the past i choose not to talk about them just push everything to the back of my mind and now i regret it wish i had sorted everything out there and then

I have been the same as I didn't want to acknowledge what I had been through as then it would make it real.

chuckieegg2008 · 16/03/2009 20:12

yeah thats how i am nabster try and ignore everything then it wont be real.

OP posts:
Nabster · 16/03/2009 20:14

doesn't work though

chuckieegg2008 · 16/03/2009 20:16

Listen to Nabster - she is right.

It's never too late to resolve things from the past - you can sort it out now.

chuckieegg2008 · 17/03/2009 19:36

I know i should try and sort my past out but im scared of the hurt it might cause

OP posts:
Nabster · 18/03/2009 07:31

It can't be worse than what you are going through now. and while it might really hurt at first, just think how much better things will be when you are sorted.

chuckieegg2008 · 18/03/2009 19:37

yeah i guess your right i cant feel much worse than i do now i feel so low at the moment
