My appointment has come through

Just got my appointment through. 9th march with the mental health assessment team.

Any experience?

Wondering how long I have with them and what happens?

Will I be okay going on my own as DH will have to get DS2 from playschool.

I don't have any advice but just wanted to say well done. I have read some of your recent threads.

Just go in and be prepared to be honest, be prepared to cry and be prepared to feel exhausted afterwards.

You really need to get it ALL out into the open with someone totally objective and trained in ways of dealing with things.

I am going on Monday and still hoping someone can give me a clue as to what will happen and how long the appointment is for please.

Hi Nabster, they will run through 2 forms/questionare's with you, one for Depression and one for Anxiety. You will be asked questions about your day to day life (family etc) and you will be asked how your problems are effecting your life and others around you.

I was asked to describe my problems in a small paragraph and was told this paragraph would be read to me each time i saw the counceller.
