...and had to leave a message. Would love to see someone really, really soon, but I'm going out in less than an hour, so unlikely to get an appointment or anything for next week now, when DH is off work.

How does it work anyway? Will she ring me back? What is she likely to say?

I'd just got my courage together to do it too, and got the children upstairs Now I'll be caught off-guard if/when she does ring

Oh God, I do sympathise, the same thing happened to me when I first phoned my therapist. I was scared and shaky and had taken time to pluck up the courage and wanted to get it over with so it is really disappointing to get an answerphone! I felt silly and thought he was going to think I was stupid. He phoned back though and was kind and patient and didn't make me feel stupid at all. Therapists understand what it is like. If you get your words mixed up and seem nervous when she phones back she won't think anything bad! If you were perfectly confident and at ease you wouldn't be phoning in the first place would you!
