I shouldn't worry too much over it if the hospital are not worried. I would keep him home if you are worried, but if he is happy and acting as normal then really going to school will probably do him no harm whatsoever. Hope it all works out ok

its not that the hospital aren't worried per se its that its not clear what the bone is like underneath the swelling.
Now its going down there is a bony lump evident so i know i have to go back,so a fracturecould easily be knocked.
He was told not to rub his nose, sniff etc
It takes 2 to 6 weeks to heal if straight, but if bent will have ga next week to straighten it then 2 to 6 weeks to heal.
A lot of nose injuries are the cartilage but it looks as if it is the bone unfortunately i think that is why i felt more concerned today

I can understand that, and if you feel happier, then keep him off school, but really try not to worry, i had many bumps and minor fractures as a child (i was always falling off my pony or getting stood on by one of them) i must have driven my parents to despair I hope all goes well with your ds

thanks but i suppose i think is it irresponsible to send him to school since they're v active at this age?in the playing field i mean
also karate and football~6 weeks is a long time
but thanks for reassurance
