lofepramine

Hi has anyone got any info about lofepramine most of the discussion boards talk about prozac, i have been given lofepramine to take from my gp but dont know much about it.I took prozac for a year in the past and i had numb feelings while i took it. if anyone has taken lofepramine can you let me know if it worked for you or not.

I was given lofepramine a long time ago. It was called Gamanil. It's a tricyclic antidepressant and works in a different way to the SSRIs which include Prozac.

I had horrible side-effects like dry mouth, dizziness and didn't take it for long. Why have you been given a relatively old drug?

Hi. Like BDB I took Gamanil some 20 years ago. It was effective, but I now take a more modern anti-d. Both have side effects though.

I have been given it because prozac and a few others didnt agree with me, i have since stopped it since the last time i posted on here but thanks for your replies
