Update on friend I went to A&E with the other morning.

I started this threadhere the other day about my friend.

I'm pleased to say today she made an appointment, without me pushing her, to go to her dr tonight and wants me to go with her in case she loses it - then I can fill in the gaps. I've told her to take notes but she won't so I will

Feeling really good about this, it's a first step to some happiness for her I hope?

does she know what she wants to talk about with the GP?wonder if she is hoping you will do all teh talking, that way she still hasn't admitted there is a problem

She did so well She did write lots down, I only filled in some gaps like her childhood.
The dr was excellent, female which is always a bonus IMO. Plus her own gp so knows the story re: exdh. We were in there at least 20 minutes.
She did feel like running beforehand but that's understandable. She opened up though.
The gp said it's gone too far just for counselling so is sending her to a psychotherapist then he/she will assess her. She put her on ADs and a food supplement.
I rang her tonight and she already sounds brighter I feel good about it and optimistic.

She was much brighter last night, obviously not the meds but I think she'll feel good that she's making a step in the right direction?
