citalopram help please

being on from april this year dont feel great this week have tried to come off them twice lasted a week and then was a wreck, i av no energy this week to do anything house is a tip, just about get myself together to do a home cooked meal, feel very tired.

what should i do?

The usual recommendation with ads is that you stay on them for at least eight or nine months, and then see how you feel. So you're probably coming off them too soon for them to have had any effect.

Are you coming off them under the GP's guidance, or have you just stopped? Coming off them cold-turkey will have you feeling like death; when you come off them you need to do it very, very slowly - over several weeks - otherwise you'll feel dreadful.

i am not off but thats the thing i tried to come off them bout a month ago but couldnt cope i am on them av been for the last month doc said if i wanted to come off them i could just come off as 20mg isnt that much i disagree but.

tonite i feel awful very agitated and feel unsettled uptight cant get a breath chest very tight i have had chest tested etc but all clear.

some people just have trouble stopping, even at the lower dosages.
get the 10mg tabs prescribed, one daily for 3-4 weeks then one every other day for 3-4 weeks. Then stop. Some doc/psychiatirists would say each dose at 2 weeks.
