Anxiety and Panic attacks.......

This is a question for fellow sufferers - do you ever feel as though you are drunk even though you haven't had a drink. Light headed, faint, clumsy, disorientated etc. I have this for days on end at times then on other occassions just for a few minutes/hours. I quite often feel i'm gonna pass out/collapse for no reason and my legs aren't working properly - sometime I get a horrible sensation that I am falling when I'm not.
I have had anxiety for so long that I just accept these feelings as part of it but wondered whether they really are and if others feel the same.
My other feelings are more obvious such as fear, breathlessness, nervousness, muscular aches and pains, butterflies, palpitations but these vague feelings are the ones that are really getting to me right now.

Hi,
I really do sympathise, because I went through this back in Summer 2006. I would be walking to work (stress coincidence?) and I would get an overwhelming feeling of dizziness at the traffic lights just before I got there. I then started having attacks at work. Extreme dizziness and palpitations to the extent I though I was going to black out. Doctors took pregnancy tests, blood pressure, but found nothing wrong. What I was having was called a Vasovagal attack. It was a brief but terrifying period of my life, which coincided with stress induced ezcema on my head too.

Teenspirit, I urge you to go to the GP. I was very taken aback by how caring they were about how scary it can feel, and talking abotu these attacks seemed to reassure me.

Good luck
