After first becoming depressed when I had PND 8 years ago I have just started taking sertraline again for about 4 time as been on and off them since then. It is 4th day and I feel worse and wonder whether I should have just tried to battle through it rather than resorting to these again. I seem to recall you can feel worse before they start to help,

any support gratefully received as feel so low and a 'not with it' type of feeling at present,

Frankie

Oh sorry to hear that frankiebabe - I don't know what sertraline is like, but was on and off Prozac after developing PND when I went back to work after DS1. Most of my problem is hormonal - very bad PMT then ok for rest of the month. I think if you felt the need to take sertraline again, then you obviously recognised you needed some help. "Battling through" is pretty miserable for you - maybe this is just early side effects and you will pick up. Once they are wokring properly you'll feel so much better. Or maybe another med would suit you. Good luck, hang on in there.
