Pls can someone,anyone offer some advice...
Have been so down and fed up,so went to doc who gave me the pills,have been taking them for 4 wks with little if not any effects...how long are they supposed to take?
Went back again and was told to double the dose...
pls help

I thought I read that it could be up to six weeks before you notice the effects? what dose are you on?

Really?was on 20,but have just been told to double the dose,feel so low all the time,and cant snap outta of feeling so down..

Dh was on them 6 weeks before he noticed anything except nasty side effects

he found the next time round though that they had no effect and is now on different meds- I can see results after a week (citalopram)

I have been feeling constantly sick,cant eat or sleep without sleeping tablet..did side effects go away once they kicked in?

Does it make a difference what time i take them?

Usually take 2-4 weeks to take effect. Best to take in the am if they are causing sleep disturbance. Side effects do usually subside. If you are still experiencing them after 4 weeks, perhaps you should chat to your GP, increasing the dose could just make s/e worse. Not sure increasing the dose at this point is the best option. Work in mental health by the way, HTH and good luck

took 3 months for me to notice a difference but what a difference. hope it works out for you. agree it seems abit barking to whack up the dose so early on.

definitely take in th emorning.

Am taking them in the morning,have never been depressed before,so am finding it hard to deal with,feel like im going crazy,thou did have a better day today,hence on the computer..

I take mine before I go to bed now as I was getting really tired mid afternoon. Hope you notice an improvement soon. Did your doc mention how long you might need to take them? at my two month review mine has said six months max

Have been yawning non stop today,thou i slept well last night,Havent seen my normal doc as he has been away,not bk til tues,when my sleeping tablets run out..
I dont know how long i will have to take them for,will find out when i go back hopefully...

FEEL REALLY bad this weekend,so sick and my legs are so achy,am taking the one dose again now,should side effects last this long,i really dont think these are working for me..i just feel like im going to feel like this forever..

I take these for PMS and they really help.Worked almost immediately and I take 1 every other day from 12 days before I am due on. It sounds to me like perhaps you are not suited to them. Reckon you could ask the doc is there is an alternative.

Just wondering, do you think the diagnosis of depression is correct? Just cos you seem so physically ill and I have read that some other illnesses can cause depression as a symptom.I am not a doctor thou so probs barking up the wrong tree. Did you have any other symptoms before besides feeling down? Let us know how you get on tomorrow.

Have changed to trazodone but havent a clue if that will help..Have been down for a long time now,lots i had to deal with but didnt as i had to be strong,everything has just built up now i think...
HAve got a cold now so maybe aching was due to that,although think prozac wasnt suited to me...
