Hi all - does anyone have any experience/knowledge of Amitriptyline Hydrochloride? I saw my GP this morning for depression (I'm 34 weeks pregnant) and insomnia - which has been going on for nearly a year and is probably one of the main factors causing the depression. She said it was OK to take during pregnancy and even checked with a colleague but I do feel a little uneasy about it but desperately want to be able to sleep and feel better. She's prescribed only 10mg a day, so a really small dose. I'd kill for a Valium. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you.
