It is worth taking them.
I was on 20mg daily, but on Wedsnesday my doctor increased them to 40mg. I am taking them to get me through something that I am dealing with atm.
The 20mg did make a bit of a difference for me, less anxious etc, but as Theodoresmummy says, no enough of one, hence the increase.
My doctor started me off on a lower dose to minimise the side effects and I think it worked. I felt tired and yawned a lot, but didn't have any other side effects. Upping the dose has again made me quite tired, but I know that will wear off soon.
Other things you can do to help yourself feel better is go for a walk every day. I do this now and it does really help. Exercise increases your seritonin (sp?) levels and helps you feel brighter.
I really didn't want to take AD's but I have realised that if it makes me happier, then it is also beneficially for my family too...
I don't feel guilty anymore for being a miserable old bag DH is understanding more about what I am trying to deal with and it is all much better. Hopefully things will get back to normal very soon.
So, take them poppypops...they aren't as scary as they look.
