Switching from sertraline to citalopram?

Anyone made a direct switch from sertraline to citalopram? My doctor wants me to switch from setraline 50mg to citalopram 10mg. Apparently you can stop one, one day and start the other another day. I used to take citalopram years ago and got on really well with it. Any advice?

I don't know if it helps but I had to switch the other way around and it was fine.

Sertraline at 50mg is a low dose. Citalopram at 10mg is also a low dose. And I reckon that is the answer, low doses means the switch will be safe to do.

My daughter is 12 days into having Sertraline at 50mg and is showing small signs of improvement except yesterday was horrible. Mental health nurse told me
she can titrate up to max dose 200mg and the highest DD was on prescribed Sertraline in the past was 100mg.
