When are you taking your lithium? I lived in England and it was 1000 mg at night. I moved to Germany and local psychiatrist wants me to take 600 mg in the evening and 400mg in the morning. I have in this regime couple of days but I feel nauseous till afternoon.

What type of lithium are you taking? Is it immediate-release or slow-release?

I take 1400mg in one go at night but it is priadel modified-release.

It’s slow releasing. It seems to be exactly same as priadel but different name. Package looks identical and company is the same.

What is the name? I’m very cautious so I wouldn’t assume it’s the same unless they said so.

if it is the same then I presume local guidelines differ to UK ones and it means you don’t get such a high peak of maximum lithium before it tapers off. It’s more consistent over 24 hours and never gets to the same high if you split the dose. It’s worth letting them know what issues you’re having. I presume they also have to look for a different concentration for testing level in blood tests.
