Is anyone else on Venlafaxine or other antidepressants, antipsychotics or mood stabilisers? Do you struggle with excessive sweating and a bright red face even with mild exercise/daily activities?
If so, what has helped? Have you been prescribed anything to help reduce it?
I am reluctant to reduce my medication dosage as I am the most stable I have been in a long time.

Yep, I often wake up drenched in sweat with the bedding soaking wet. Interested in hearing of any solutions.

I had a quick google and there are a few meds that can be prescribed to help reduce the sweating and flushing. Would be good to hear some positive outcomes on these medications. It’s awful at work, at home I can’t even hoover one room with out a burning red hot face and dripping in sweat. I also cannot go to the gym as it’s embarrassing 😥

I’m on venlafaxine and also olanzapine and I am always hot. The heatwaves were unbearable!

It is understandable, but relying on medication solely is not a great idea so you should try getting therapy as well, it might be helpful for you.

I’ve had cbt more than once and have currently been on a specific focus therapy for almost 3 years now and see my community team every 3-4 weeks :)

I always did get a red face exercising, but I'm now on venlafaxine and quetiapine and I'm hot nearly all the time, but I'd put it down to weight gain. Hasn't really considered if it was the meds themselves.
