I have anxiety in situations where I feel trapped for example waiting in a queue, in church etc
I cannot go on a bus and I avoid queuing in shops etc. I can handle buying one or two items in the corner shop but a whole supermarket shop I panic. I've previously had a panic attack queuing in Zara and on a bus. I also find it very difficult to attend weddings, meetings etc where I cannot just get up and leave. Im generally ok if I'm near an exit and know I can slip out unnoticed.
Im in my mid 40s, in perimenopause and it has gotten worse lately.
Day to day I'm not hugely anxious but I do live a quiet life, which I'm not unhappy about. But if I have something coming up where I know I will feel trapped I do feel very anxious. In the situation where I feel trapped my heart beats very fast, I get shaky and I feel like I need to run away. The urge to run is so strong.
Anyway what would be best for me, sertraline, propranolol, hrt??? I would love from advice from anybody who might experience something similar.
