Vortioxetine

Had anyone had sickness and nausea first thing in the morning due to taking vortioxetine?

I get nausea every morning and often sick once or twice in the morning. I cannot eat breakfast now. I've been having these symptoms since I increased the dose but not sure if its the vortioxetine itself or the anxiety.

I get terrible anxiety over work but I still seem to still be nauseous on mornings where I don't work. Its been going on for about 2-3 months now. The GP prescribed cyclizene a few months ago but it didn't seem to make a difference. Not helped by the fact I immediately wake up in the morning with the nausea so it doesn't have time for the anti emetic to kick in

I have a phone appointment with the GP today but not sure if they can do anything.

Vortioxetine made me feel sick at first. But I took it with food and it subsided. Im on venlefaxin now as vortioxetine made me too tired.

Yes, it made me very sick. I’m normally pretty good at tolerating side effects but the constant nausea and vomiting meant that I came off it quite quickly. I moved to trazodone which has been much better.

@mynameiscalypsohow Long did you take it for? I've been on a higher dose probably 3 months or so now and i am still sick.

I don’t think I was on it as long as that. I have a history of eating disorders and so my psychiatrist wouldn’t let me stay on them when it became clear that it was impacting my ability to eat. Maybe a month or so.
