The last few days my anxiety has been so bad. I’m exhausted I could literally sleep for days I wake up eat and go back to sleep. Then I’ll sleep all night. It’s really weird I genuinely cannot control it it’s only the last few days. Whenever I do try to sleep it’s like as soon as I drop off I jolt awake again and my heart races I feel hot and then my anxiety kicks in. I’m on Setraline and I don’t know if that’s what causes it sometimes. It’s not all the time this happens it’s just every now and again but the last few days have been ruff. I hate anxiety so much! Some days I literally cannot do anything because it’s so bad. Every normal thing feels like a massive chore it’s awful.
needed a rant sorry 🙈

I have mild anxiety episodes occasionally so I really don’t know what you’re fully going through. Mine is menopausal related, and I am on hrt which has helped. That said, when I can’t sleep due to overactive brain, I put on YouTube with 1 earphone in and listen to crap Reddit stories being read out loud- think Charlotte dobre or Sarby or Two hot takes- utter dross, it keeps my mind from spiralling and helps me fall asleep.

I’m the same and would love to be literally sedated. I go to sleep ok ish BUT wake all through the night and then bam brain is awake. It’s exhausting. I’m on fluoxetine. Think I need tranquilisers.

is there anything you can pinpoint causing your anxiety? I have a few things going on but nothing within my control to change

Most brain medicines put someone to sleep. mental illnesses and anxiety, depression etc, have medicines that put someone to sleep. You should tell the GP your concerns. Change medicine. try not to sleep too much, its comforting but a problem.
