Sertraline help

I've recently started sertaline, 3 weeks of 25mg. I started it because I was feeling a pain which the gp put down to stress and explained it as constant elevated cortisol levels.

Up until 2 days ago I've felt good, the pain has actually gone so i think its working. However I now have a terrible 'feeling' I've never experienced before. I can only guess it's what anxiety or depression feels like, which ive never suffered from before. Its a feeling of being on edge constantly, worry, low mood and loss of appetite.

Could the sertraline suddenly cause this? Even after 3 weeks. Gosh its a horrible feeling. I will contact the gp but wondering if its something I have to ride out.

Thanks

It could absolutely be the Sertraline causing this OP, it can cause a paradoxical reaction where anxiety/depression type symptoms get worse soon after starting. It might get better with time but I would try to see or talk to your doctor soon.

Every experience offers growth even the bad experiences.
