Struggling with sertraline side effects after restarting and looking for advice

Hey everyone, I’m just seeking some advice and motivation for starting sertraline. I’ve been really struggling with the side effects of going back on sertraline (25mg). I was on 50mg for 2.5 years, which worked wonders, then came off them 2 months ago as I thought I didn’t need them anymore - I was wrong. It’ll be 12 days today since going back on and I’ve been constantly nauseous and anxious, other than in the evenings when it settles. I’ve got this awful feeling of panic in my chest almost all the time. When I went on them before, I got used to them within 1 week, but it’s taking so much longer this time and I’m really struggling… do you have any experience or advice perhaps?

Hi. What time of day are you taking the Sertraline? Have you tried changing it? I take mine first thing. I’m afraid I don’t have any useful advice about the side effects. I didn’t really get any except when I briefly had to go up to a very high dose. I just wanted to offer support and say, do persevere. If they work for you, it’s worth pushing through short term side effects. If you are still experiencing these effects after a few weeks, perhaps go back to your GP to see what they advise.

Take them in the evening with a big glass of water?

Drop to 12.5 and build up to 25?
